Westlake crews were dispatched to a Residential Fire on Westlake Way and Youngtree Circle. Upon arrival Squad 41 reported smoke coming from the structure and proceeded to make an offensive attack on the fire. Assisting Westlake units were Westlake Ladder 43, Cy-Fair Fire Department Engine 12, Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department Engine 5, and ESD48 Rehab. There were no tenants at the time if the fire, but there were 2 dogs found with one being unresponsive. Rescue efforts were conducted on the dog and he was revived and walking around shortly thereafter. The fire was quickly extinguished due the fast actions by all of those involved. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Thank you to all of our mutual aid companies that responded and Cy-Fair Engine12 for backing in to our station while we remained on scene.
