Our Story

In 1975, the residents of the Westlake and surrounding communities started the Westlake Fire Department with fewer than twenty members, a van, and four hundred feet of assorted hose.

The Westlake Fire Department has come a long way and is proud of the accomplishments it has achieved over it’s history. The membership and staff of Westlake consists of over ninety four highly dedicated and motivated personnel.

The atmosphere was incredibly laid back and friendly. I felt like family from the moment we were greeted!- Kira Jungklaus
