Fire Chief Welcome
Welcome to the Westlake Fire Department. We hope that our web site will provide you the opportunity to better know your Fire Department, and allow you to do business with us in a more convenient and efficient manner.
For over 35 years, the Westlake Fire Department has been privileged to serve our community. What began as a volunteer department in 1975 has grown and evolved into a combination department with 150 dedicated full time, part time and volunteer professionals serving a population of 85,000.
Our community and department is a diverse and multicultural community bordering the western edges of Houston. We are your neighbors, friends, and relatives 100% committed to improve the quality of life for our community by promoting safety, and providing the highest quality of fire prevention, fire protection, advanced emergency medical services, and community outreach programs. This is an exceptional department that is proud and honored to serve our community.
The men and women of Westlake Fire Department give their time for their community. They are very dedicated. Chief Palmer is an excellent leader and great example and mentor.
When my wife delivered our baby in my car on Barker Cypress, we went straight to Westlake Fire and they did everything that they were trained to do, and I will always be grateful. Thank you all.
It is a true success of an organization. As a homeowner/taxpayer, I know that everyone in this organization gives not only to its community, but to its neighbors. It continues to give not only 100%, but more by each of its members. Thank you for your service. It’s an honor for us to be blessed with this organization in Katy.
