June 1st, fourteen individuals from Westlake Fire Department took part in what is now a quarterly Celebration of our Swearing In Ceremony. 10 of the members were sworn in as new members to the department, 2 were sworn in as new Fire Lieutenants, 1 was sworn in as a new EMS Captain, and 1 was sworn in as a new Battalion Chief. Congrats to all of members that took part in the Ceremony. A special thanks to Harris County Fire Fighters Association Honor Guard for posting the colors, Chaplin Shelly Sorem for MC’ing the ceremony, Chief Mark Palmer and ESD 47 Board President Brian Havran for speaking to the guest and recipients.
